MagicFlex works well on:
- regeneration (construction) of cartilage and associated connective tissue,
- reduction of inflammation pain,
- increased mobility,
- synthesis of collagen, keratin, elastin
- immune system modulation.
MagicFlex is a combination of the active components of glucosamine (shellfish-derived), MSM (methyl-sulfone-methane), cetyl myristolate, boswellium (Boswellia serrata – plant extract).
Glucosamine is an amino-monosaccharide, more specifically the amino derivative of D-glucose. Amino sugars are very widespread in nature, and glucosamine is one of the most represented and mainly occurs within complex polysaccharides. It is found in the composition of most human tissues. It is a component of connective tissue, ganglioside from nerve tissue, synovial fluid, mucus and heparin of the liver. The human body synthesizes glucosamine, but it also needs to be ingested with food or dietary supplements. A number of published studies indicate that glucosamine at a dose of 1500 mg daily has beneficial effects on maintaining and maintaining optimal cartilage and joint function, normalizing chondrocyte function and production of complex mucopolysaccharides within bone connective tissue. It is lacking in large amounts in food and is not consumed sufficiently by the usual daily diet. It is found in some foods such as animal bones, brains, shells and in some types of fungi.
MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane) iii “beauty mineral” is an organic (natural, edible) form of sulfur that plays an important role in the formation of collagen, keratin, elastin and cartilage. The body also uses sulfur to build up keratin, an immunoglobulin that is part of the immune system. It is also important in the catalysis of metabolic reactions that convert food into energy. MSM can influence the relief of pain, especially in arthritis, the modulation of the immune system in autoimmune diseases, the restoration of muscles, as an adjunct to bedtime and in the treatment of diabetes. MSM is important for the formation of keratin, collagen and elastin that provide flexibility, shape and strength to muscles, bones, joints, inner membranes, skin, hair and nails.
Cetyl myristolate is an ester that is found in small quantities in the plant and animal world. It was also isolated from one type of albino mice resistant to induced arthritis. Its effect in reducing joint and muscle soreness has been proven, as well as its role in increasing joint mobility. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, by inhibiting inflammatory mediators and also has a protective function against the negative effect of damage caused by the oxidative processes of the inflammatory region.
Boswellia serrata (herbal extract), is known in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system. In osteoarthritis, arachidonic acid is converted to leukotrienes by the 5-LOX enzyme. These leukotrienes are responsible for the formation of inflammatory mediators such as IL-1 beta, TNF, ICAM, which is manifested by the production of inflammation and pain. These mediators lead to the release of MMP, which increases the breakdown of the cartilage itself, decreases regeneration and builds up cartilage tissue, leading to the progression of osteoarthritis development. The herbal extract Boswellium contained in the product is a selective, potent inhibitor of 5-LOX enzymes, inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators and reduces pain. It also prevents degenerative changes in cartilage, but also increases the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans GAGa, and promotes cartilage regeneration
